| The CAVA Cup 2010 Tournament Schedule |
As the Commissioner of the 2010 Cava Cup Soccer Tournament of Champions, I regretfully
announce that the tournament will be postponed until October of this year. This is an
unfortunate turn of events and due to late roster changes, travel conflicts and other
circumstances beyond our control; our staff feels that it would be in the best interest of the
fans, the teams, the cities, and the sponsors to postpone this tournament. As with any
International travel events, travelers must meet strict time restraints and if those requirements
are not met, many challenges may arise. Unfortunately, we were not able to secure timely air
and travel accommodations for some of the participating teams and this severely disrupted the
entire tournament schedule. Therefore; it is with careful consideration that the Cava Cup will
be rescheduled for October 2010, contingent upon the participating teams availability and their
expedience.
Our office sincerely apologizes for the postponement. However; my staff and I look forward to
continuing our hard and diligent work on the 2010 Cava Cup Soccer Tournament of
Champions. We are certain that given this extended period of time, we will secure some
extremely talented teams to add to the tournament and bring this memorable event to central
Alabama.
